Growing up on a farm near Fort Scott, Kansas, Mark has spent most of his life managing wildlife habitats and agriculture land. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a BS degree in Wildlife Management and has over 20 years of experience with the Kansas Fish and Game Commission (now known as the Kansas Dept. of Wildlife and Parks) and the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).  The last job held while employed by the MDC was titled “wildlife management biologist” in northwest Missouri managing public lands, including tens of thousands of acres of permittee cropped farmland and wetlands such as Nodaway Valley and Bob Brown Conservation Areas.

He left the MDC in 2000 to begin working for Ducks Unlimited as a Regional Biologist in Oklahoma. Two years later he moved to Nevada to begin work as a fundraiser (Regional Director) for Ducks Unlimited as he and his wife Lynn began purchasing a family farm in Bourbon County Kansas, managing it for wildlife while also leasing it for hunting and grazing rights. Early in his career he earned the title of Certified Wildlife Biologist by “The Wildlife Society,” which is based upon professional wildlife experience and education.

After an accredited career in all things agriculture, Mark chose to begin his career in real estate in 2022 because he likes helping people find happiness with their personal piece of “paradise”.   His experience with wildlife habitats allows him to evaluate and effectively market your property to those interested in rural settings, wetlands, wildlife habitat, and outdoor recreation.
