Monte has numerous National Awards for outstanding salesperson and is also a member of the National Association of Realtors. Monte specializes in promoting your property to the world and has received the Melvin Jones award for outstanding service to the community from the Nevada Lions Club. He is also very active in the Community by serving as Chairman of the Nevada Airport Board.

As a community supporter, Monte as President of Curtis & Sons Insurance Agency and Realty Company has donated land for the New Vernon County Jail and Sheriff Office along with their 2015 donation of land for the Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri. Monte has been involved with law enforcement since 1974 as a volunteer for both the Nevada Police Department as well as the Vernon County Sheriff Department.

In his spare time he spends his days fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors. His most recent endeavor is tournament cat fishing in both local and national fishing tournaments. Monte’s personal best to date is a 90 pound white catfish taken in the Tennessee River.
